7th conversation

This week took place in the library, with a kid that I don't know very well, and the only reason I know him is because my friend is friends with him. My friend was at a doctors appointment or something, so I didn't really know what to do. So I asked the kid If he wanted to play chess. He did so we grabbed the board and began. I took his knight, he took my rook, and this went on for a long time. There were a few laughs here and there from a joke, but nothing much happened besides that. After the game, the bell rang. So we packed up and got ready for our next class. I think I did good for my last conversation.

6th conversation

This week was on the bus. It was with a girl that I think was in my 1st grade class. It all started when me and my friend started talking about something (don't ask me I don't remember) and we started to talk about being color blind. For some reason my friend thought I was color blind (trust me I'm not) so he began to ask me what color something was. Then he asked me what color the girls hair was in front of us, heard then we all started talking and getting into a conversation (again, I don't remember what it was about. It was a friday, so I was to excited).

5th conversation

On February 16, 2011 there was a big hailstorm during the end of school. During this time I decided to start the conversation with a kid that lives in my neighborhood that I haven't talked to in like, forever. I came up to him and said "It's coming down hard." He said that it might snow tonight. I said that wasn't likely it never snows in Sherwood. But I can't deny that I was hoping that it would.
"Yeah", he said. I told him I would see him later and I hoped he had a good day.

4 conversation

This week I decided to mix it up a little bit. Instead of talking to a kid after school I decided to tallk to someone at lunch. After I finished my lunch I went to the library to play a game of checkers with my friend. Then this kid walked up and said hi. I hadn't done my conversation yet so I thought I could do it with him. I said hi back to get the conversation going. I asked if he knew how to play checkers he said "no not at all." I moved my piece then looke up at him and said,"dude, you are on my side right? He has three kings and I have five there is no way he is going to win!"
"Uh, sure," he said uncertainly. From then on out we just talked about the game and what we were going to do in science. I feel satisfied. I talked to somebody, and they were interested. I think I just made a new friend.

3 conversation

This week I talked to a boy that goes on my bus, again. I was walking out of school looking for someone to talk to for my blog when I came across a guy that was doing tricks with a yoyo. Then someone asked him if he could borrow it. He said it wasn't his. So then I walked up to him and asked what he was doing. He said he was using a yoyo. Then I asked him what he meant by it not being his. He said someone let him have it and he was going to give him another one. I then asked who he wanted to win in the super bowl he said Green Bay, then I said I wanted them to win too. After that I told him I would see him later. This week wasn't that long but hopefully next week will be better. Bye.

2 conversation

As you know my blog is about starting a conversation with 7 different people for seven weeks. This week like last week I am choosing to talk to a boy on my bus that I don't notice much.
I decided to start the conversation by asking him what he was reading. He held a book with a brown cover and it was written comic style. On the page there was a few people and a small white big nosed cartoon character. I recognized this because I saw some of my friends reading it, it was a book from a series called Bone. "Is that Bone?' I asked.
"Yep sure is, " he said. He didn't seem interested in talking to me so I had to think of something that we both could relate to.
"Was that paper from social studies due today?" Okay, I know what your thinking, talking about social studies homework is probably one of the most boring things you could talk about right after you get out of school, but cut me some slack, it was just the first thing that popped into my head.

"I don't know," he answered. I told him the book looked interesting and then I told him I'd see him around. Week 2 is over and nobody has really even really payed attention to me. Oh well, if you don't succeed at first try try again. Until next week

1st Conversation

My blog is about starting a conversation with 1 person every week for 7 weeks. This week it is about a boy who goes on the same bus as me. We do not talk to each other very much, so I decided to talk to him.
I walked up to him he was standing in the bus line. Since are bus is usually the last one to get here, it left us plenty of time to talk. As I approached him  I saw a band instrument sitting next to him, so naturally I asked him if he took band. He said he didn't so I assumed it was the girl's in front of him. Then I saw him holding  what looked to be a itouch, or a iphone. I asked him if it was a itouch or a iphone, he said it was a itouch. I asked him what he was playing even though I could clearly see it was air hockey, I was just trying to start a conversation. He said it was air hockey, like I said. As he was playing I noticed a quarter sized crack on his screen. I asked what happened. All he said was "it broke." I can see that, I thought. Our bus was here and he didn't look like he wanted to talk anymore. So I said bye and went to catch up with my friends. Maybe next week I'll talk t someone that will actually talk to me. Thanks for reading my blog I'll see you next week.
